First off thank you!!! This is great class and it showed the work you put into it with class presentations. And class materials all of this made for pleasurable experience. As you know I have done other forms of art. But colored pencils was completely new to me. It has provide a new perspective on creating art. The two areas that were eye openers were the techniques for color blending and matching. Something I have struggled with in the past and these techniques will be useful in other types of art. The other aspect was exploring methods for creating textures and blending of colors
The unexpected part of colore pencils is it can done for reasonable cost and can be done any where. No need for an art studio I looking forward to explore what the possibilities with this medium. I stopped by Beard’s to thank Brent for recommending this class
I came into Lori’s beginner colored pencil class this October with no experience at all. ( I probably had my last art class in elementary school- I’m 61!). I’ve now signed up for my 2nd independent study course and am amazed at all that I have learned. Lori is a talented and knowledgeable instructor. Her patient, enthusiastic , and non judgmental approach keeps me coming back.
Lori will go the extra mile to help you in your project approach. She’s always happy to answer questions. She finds ways to introduce new materials and techniques that make classes fun and interesting. I would highly recommend her courses for anyone , regardless of skill level.
Before working at the Artshub, I never considered myself an artist or one that can see art. After meeting Lori, she put me up to a simple task of imitating what I see from a photo-to-paper, using an eraser and a pencil. After that interaction and activity, it formed a new pursuit of studying and creating art. Since being exposed, it has changed the way I see nature and it has developed a new sense of perspective into my life. I recently took lori’s Learn to Paint with Colored Pencils class. Lori is a very skilled and patient teacher. I learned some new techniques to enhance my drawing with colored pencils. No matter what your experience level, Lori will guide you to success.
This was a fun and informative workshop. All supplies were provided. I really enjoyed myself. Who knew that color pencils could be so fun. Lori was a great instructor. If you ever wondered about color pencils - this is the class to take. I feel so inspired that I am going to take a couple more of Lori’s classes.
