My focus is the basics of light, shadow, color theory, and the origin of an object in its environment. Inspiration is everywhere because in my mind’s eye I draw what I see.

Each of my colored pencil paintings is a prototype from which the next idea develops and evolves, never to be perfect but to be improved upon.
I don’t believe that engineering and art can be described as left brain/right brain disciplines. Imagineering and implementation is a whole brain process.
I prefer to use my own reference photos in which strong contrast and sharp edges create the image.
