Bio

Lori Loré is an emerging artist who focuses on the fundamental colored pencil techniques of blending pure hues on paper. She limits her colored pencil palette to take advantage of the transparent nature of colored pencil to produce a wide range of light to dark color values from vibrant to dull.  Lori uses simple drawing techniques of shading, shapes, patterns and mark making to render a wide range of subjects. Each of her colored pencil paintings is a prototype from which the next idea evolves.  

“My focus is the basics of light, shadow, color theory, and the origin of an object in its environment. Inspiration is everywhere because in my mind’s eye I draw what I see.”
